Breathe with the whole class. Each child follows the shape with their finger as they breathe in and out, at their own pace – creating a calm class room environment.
Send the PDF to any of your students and families through email.
Breathing games can be printed, laminated and placed on a student’s binder, on a desk, in a calm down area, on a wall, or anywhere else where a student might have easy access to them.
Use as an individual intervention for students who need additional support with self-regulation.
To increase buy-in, allow children to select and/or color their favorites.
Use the breathing games as a part of a calming space, peace corner – a space within the classroom and home where children can use the boards on their own.
Use the games to help children de-stress and to transition or to prepare for a potentially stressful event, such as a doctor’s visit or a difficult task.
Use the breathing games to teach a calming technique that can be used independently of the games outside of the classroom.
Using our tangible, memorable, and enjoyable breathing games and stories, you can make self-regulation and mindfulness practice fun and enjoyable, rather than a chore.

I laminated the boards (two sided) and gave each child a board during our tennis class (ages 4-6). We left the boards on chairs, next to their water bottles. During class they were allowed to visit the boards if they needed to take a break. It was fascinating watching their high interest in the boards and they took to them like fish to water :)
Instead of getting distracted, when they were waiting their turn to hit balls, I noticed them visiting their boards… fingers tracing the in and out breath while they noticeably breathed… then returning in time for their turn! Genius!
We had a much more relaxed and productive class than before.
I plan to continue with the boards and add the mindfulness exercises each class and see what happens! I absolutely love seeing them go to the boards instead of messing around on the court as they wait their turn!
Thanks a million for your work! I totally love what you are creating!”
